strategy game?
some years ago i played a strategy game but i dont remeber title.
there was an ant war by small ants big ants and butterflyes. the style is comand and conquer. who remeber the title?
Probably Ant War
What would be a recommendable strategy game?
I have been looking recently for a strategy game for my pc. Specs are no concern. I am a big fan of Command and Conquer Generals (an older game) but not so much of other C&C titles. My preference would be something with a focus on the actual fighting instead of resource gathering or exploration. Any suggestions? I would prefer an authentic RTS, not a hybrid game like a game from the Total War series.
Command & Conquer red alert 3 came out a few months ago which I haven't played yet but its supposed to be very good. Blizzards classics warcraft III and starcraft are also good though they are getting older now. Starcraft II is due to come out this year and will probably be the best RTS for the next several years if it lives up to the first installment.
Hope this helps.
What is a really good Modern Military strategy game for PC?
If there is any good modern military strategy games for PC?
I don't want a First Person Shooter like the BF series, i want a strategy game, more like the Age of Empire series, but a modern version.
I want something that uses all aspects of war, including Land, sea and Air, i want a game where you can use Tanks, Aircraft carriers/battleships, fighter jets/bombers all in the one game, preferably based in the modern era, is there any game out there like this?
World in Conflict is a very good one (trust me it is) however gameplay is sort of like the Total War series, just set in the 80s.
You could also try Company of Heroes, my friend has it and it's good
This game is amazingly in depth. The AI of soldiers is so intense that they even find cover and shoot around walls while still remaining an RTS game.
Everything is modern warfare and it is probably one of the best games I have played in the past year.
What is the best, hardest and funnest strategy game out their?
Ok I love strategy games, but I have beaten almost all of them. Age of empires and mythologies I pounded, Star Crafs, crusader and just about every online strategy game i could find. But I beat them all with ease so if you have a realy good computer strategy game. Or video game not for xbox or ps3 mention that to. So any ideas?
oh and I also smash total war 2. Let's be honest i have no life.
He loves strategy games and Star Trek. What PC game should I get my husband?
Other than Legacy, which I'm planning to get him when it comes out, which PC game would you recommed? Are any of the other Star Trek PC games any good, given that he loves strategy games? Any input would be great.
Galactic Civilisation 2!!!
Best alien , Strategy game I ever played got it few weeks ago and love it. Its a kick ass turn based PC game. It cannot be ran on a low end PC but its not super demanding either and simply beats out all games close to it.
Its not that expensive either $30 at wal-mart near were I live. Its not like command and conquer its turn based but its not horrible like most turn based games this one easily slides into my top favourite games.
Look at the screen shots or videos If they have videos.
Great thing is you can almost make your ships look like Star Trek ships or anything you want them to be. Look at the site great game. Hope you did not already play this one because its great.

I am a great strategy game fan but i need an easy game including world war 1 and 2. I have played empire earth 1,2,3 and i need that type of game. I have 256 mb graphics card. I need bothe graphics and strategy and the game should include both the sides: friendly forces and Germany side. Please suggest me some games.

empire earth 1 was alright.. if u didnt know.. u can make age start and end in WWII or WW1 if it runs slow u can put graphics to normal.. or lower then that..
not many seem to know that if u jack up empire earth 1 graphics to the max setting it looks decent especially for an old game
What is a good free strategy game for PC?
I've looked at several websites, but there's always a catch. They're never free. I'm just bored and I want something to play on my laptop. It doesn't matter if it's single player or online. And it doesn't matter if it's a modern or medieval war game, a constructing game, or anything, as long as it's strategy/simulation.
Thanks
DEFCON is free for 1vs1 play whether it's player vs player or player vs AI. It costs $17 to upgrade to the multiplayer version.
It's a very well-made nuclear war game, where the goal is to place all your silos and airbases and radar in good strategic places and make fleets consisting of battleships, carriers and subs, and send them around to fight and kill the enemy's fleets and find and sink their subs so they can't get up close and nuke your silos
and the best thing about it is it's real-time strategy as in real real time, the fleets move a little bit faster than real fleets but it's still very close to what a real nuclear war would be like, takes between 2 and 4 hours to complete on a default map. You can speed time up if everyone agrees to it.
You can find defcon with a search engine for free direct download.
What is the best strategy PC game I should buy?
I need a strategy game for the PC that is fun on both multiplayer and single player.
Empire Earth is a great PC strategy game. In fact its more of a strategy game than the others listed. Just the original one and maybe its expansion. Don't try to get the second or third one. The music puts you in the game more, there are many units, there are many ages, the nuclear weapons in a regular skirmish comes from bombers, it has a digital and nano age where there are robotic units, and you will always be on your toes.
You can have a game that goes on for 18 hours. If you choose to have bodies of water on your map, you will find yourself building huge navies to capture islands. You need to fight for resources and you need to stop your enemies from getting theirs. Its a true war game that is very challenging and I have never played another like it. I have been playing this game for more than 6 years. I don't play it all the time and I do take breaks, but nothing is better in my opinion. You can find it for 10 dollars if your lucky.
What's the 90's pc game where you create characters & take them on an adventure solving strategy games?
This game was for kids. The characters weren't people, just balls with special characteristics (color, hair, etc.) you chose.
One of the mini strategy games was making a special pizza using many different ingredients for two demanding characters that would not let you pass.
You could lose some of the characters you created along the way, depending on how well you performed in the strategy games.
its definetly zoombinis. i still have 2 of those games! they were the best. but it took forever to win. im not sure i ever did.
Achron - Meta/Real-time Strategy Game
I rarely blog about gaming, probably because I rarely game, but occasionally something is so extraordinary it grabs my attention.
I caught a video over at Offworld that demonstrates a new real-time strategy game. The twist is that you can both view and interact with the events in the past, present and future (interacting in the past costing a new type of resource).
Here’s the video, it may appear confusing at first but he is demonstrating advanced tactics. This shows the player being attacked in the past by an opponent who is changing history.
The amount of strategy this very concept introduces is awe-inspiring. Literally acting out the grand-father paradox for example (apparently only experts are able to pull this off). Shifting units from one time frame to another means you could be losing in the past, but winning in the future.
Counter-attacks for “rushing” -a common tactic in these sorts of games- are numerous. All in all, even these raw demos which lack art, level design and other aspects, show this game to be a potential big success; certainly breaking the mold of traditional RTS games (more so than has been done with Supreme Commander and recent C&Cs).
You can see a whole host of videos from simple play to advanced tactics over at the official site. Release date is someway into 2010 (or maybe sometime in 1910
